Moving between the coast and the hinterland

Your move may be a few streets away, from the hinterland to the beach or between the northern and southern ends of the coast. Each job has its own access, furniture and timing requirements. We help you discuss these early so your quote and booking reflect the work you actually need.

Our service area includes Noosa, central coast and hinterland communities, and Caloundra. We also handle enquiries for moves connecting with Gympie and surrounding towns. Give us both addresses when you enquire. A short distance does not always mean a simple job: stairs, limited parking, long carries and difficult furniture can all affect the work.

What we can help you organise

Start with the move itself, then let us know whether you need assistance with packing or a storage period between homes. These services can be discussed together, which is useful when settlement dates do not match or you are moving out before a renovation is finished. The team will explain the proposed sequence and quote the agreed work.

We ask about the belongings being moved because volume matters. A spare room used as an office, a full garage or a large outdoor setting can change the load substantially. Make a room-by-room inventory and include boxes, appliances and items kept outside the house. If a piece is unusually heavy, delicate or difficult to access, mention it at the start so its handling can be considered.

How Sunshine Coast removals pricing works

There is no single published price for every Sunshine Coast move. A useful quote takes account of the inventory, addresses, loading and unloading access, travel and the assistance you request. Share photographs where they help explain a driveway, stairway, lift or awkward item. The more complete the information, the easier it is to discuss the right arrangements.

Ask what is included in your quote and confirm any extras before the job. Packing help, storage and a later delivery need to be included in the plan rather than assumed. If the inventory or moving date changes, tell the team so the booking can be reviewed. Confirm availability before organising building access or handing over the keys.

Prepare both ends of the move

At the collection address, identify a suitable loading position and keep paths clear. For apartments, speak with the building manager about lift bookings, delivery hours and any protection required in common areas. For a hinterland property, tell us about narrow entrances, steep driveways and the route from the loading position to the house.

At the destination, check that you can receive the belongings at the planned time. Think about where the large pieces will go and label boxes by room. Keep keys, essential documents, medicines, chargers and your first-night supplies with you. If the destination is still being renovated, discuss what should arrive immediately and what may be better placed in storage.

Storage when the dates do not match

Our Sunshine Coast mobile storage service provides a practical option for a gap between homes. A unit is delivered to your address, loaded there and either kept on site or collected for storage at our Cooroy depot. Ask about Load Assist if you would like help with loading.

The current published guide lists mobile storage from $165 per unit per month including GST. Delivery and collection are quoted separately; loading assistance is priced for the job. The monthly storage rate is the same at home and at the depot. These figures describe storage and should be considered separately from the removals work in your quote.

On-site storage needs a suitable position and confirmed delivery access. Depot access is arranged by calling ahead, and our published guide says there is no access fee. Before storing, check your insurance arrangements for your belongings during loading, transport and the storage period. Read the storage cost guide for a fuller explanation.

Frequently asked questions

How early should I request a quote?

Get in touch when you know your likely dates. Tell us which dates are firm and which depend on settlement, a tenancy or building work. Availability must be confirmed for the actual booking.

Can you quote before I finish packing?

Yes, start with an inventory and an estimate of the boxes you expect. Update the team if the load changes materially so the quote and moving arrangements can be reviewed.

Can belongings go into storage before the final move?

Discuss this when requesting the quote. We can plan the moving and mobile storage requirements together, including the eventual delivery address when known.

Where is the storage base?

Depot storage is based at 15 Jarrah Street, Cooroy. View the Cooroy depot on Google Maps and arrange any visit by phone.

Tell us about your move
