A moving plan for the southern coast

Whether you are moving from a beachside apartment, a family home or a newly completed property, the practical details shape the job. We ask about the furniture, collection and delivery addresses, dates and access so the team can discuss a realistic plan. Tell us early if your move depends on settlement or a builder’s handover.

Our Caloundra service area includes nearby southern coast communities. Contact us about moves in Caloundra West, Golden Beach, Little Mountain, Currimundi and surrounding suburbs. We also discuss moves connecting the southern coast with Noosa, the hinterland and Gympie. Confirm the actual addresses with us when enquiring, rather than assuming every property has the same access or delivery requirements.

Apartment moves and established homes

If you are leaving or entering an apartment, check lift availability, building access times and loading arrangements with the manager. A booked lift or an agreed loading position can affect the order and timing of the work. Share any rules with us in advance, including restrictions on large deliveries or use of common areas.

For a house move, think about the path between the furniture and the truck. Steps, a steep driveway, low branches, tight gates and a long carry all deserve a mention. Photographs can help explain a difficult entrance. Tell us about furniture that needed special effort to get into the home, as the same issue may arise when it comes out.

What affects the cost of your move?

A removals quote is based on the job rather than a single price for every Caloundra household. The inventory, volume, access at each end, travel and requested assistance all matter. Include items from the garage, balcony and outdoor areas, as well as the main rooms. Packed boxes and bulky furniture can make two homes with the same bedroom count very different moves.

Let us know if you want packing help, assistance with particular pieces or storage before the final delivery. Ask for the agreed work and any separate charges to be clear in the quote. There is no published fixed Caloundra removals tariff on this page; contact the team for a quote that reflects your addresses and belongings.

Once the move is booked, keep the team informed of changes to your dates, inventory or access. Confirm the final arrangements before the day, especially if the new property is still being completed. A revised date or extra load needs to be discussed so availability and scope can be checked.

When settlement or handover leaves a gap

If the old property has to be empty before the new one is ready, mobile storage in Caloundra can provide a useful buffer. We deliver a storage unit to your address for loading, then you can arrange to keep it at home or have it collected for storage at the Cooroy depot. Discuss the storage sequence alongside your removals enquiry.

Our published storage guide lists rates from $165 per unit per month including GST. Delivery and collection are quoted separately. Load Assist is priced for the work required, and the monthly storage rate is the same for home and depot storage. Storage charges are separate from the removals quote, so ask for the full combination to be explained before booking.

For on-site storage, check that there is suitable space for delivery and for the unit to remain while you need it. At the depot, access is arranged by phoning ahead and our published guide says there is no access fee. The depot is at 15 Jarrah Street, Cooroy; units collected from Caloundra for depot storage go there. See the mobile storage cost guide for more about the pricing approach.

Get ready without leaving everything to moving day

1. Prepare an inventory. Work room by room and note unusually heavy or delicate items. Include outdoor and garage belongings.
2. Confirm access. Check parking, lifts, stairs, gates and the route into both properties. Pass useful photographs and building rules to the team.
3. Label your boxes. Use room names and identify fragile contents. Keep the labels visible when boxes are stacked.
4. Keep essentials separate. Carry keys, medicines, important paperwork, chargers and first-night items with you.
5. Plan unloading. Decide where large pieces will go and make sure someone can give clear directions at the new address.

If you are arranging packing assistance, discuss what needs to be ready and what the team will handle. Check your own insurance cover for belongings during the move and any storage period. Ask about anything you are unsure should be packed or transported before it becomes part of the load.

Caloundra moving questions

Can I book a move before handover is certain?

Tell us your likely date and what remains uncertain. The team can discuss availability and storage options. Keep us updated, and have any final or changed booking dates confirmed directly.

Can you help if I have not finished packing?

Ask about packing help when enquiring. Explain the amount of work so it can be discussed and quoted in advance.

Is your storage depot in Caloundra?

Our storage depot is in Cooroy. Mobile units are delivered to the Caloundra area and can be collected for depot storage or kept at home when suitable.

How can I get a useful first quote?

Send both addresses, the likely date, an inventory and details about access. Include any packing help or storage you need. That gives the team a clear starting point for the job.
